Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Drive to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Welcome to Uganda! Your guide from Leone Tours and Travel will be waiting to greet you at Entebbe International Airport. After a short briefing, set off on your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest protected area.
Along the way, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary—home to Uganda’s only wild rhinos. Here, you’ll go on foot with a ranger for a thrilling hour of rhino tracking. It’s a powerful experience to see these endangered giants in their natural habitat.
Break for a local lunch in Masindi, then continue to the park. Once inside, get your first glimpse of wildlife before checking into your lodge. Relax and soak in the views as you prepare for tomorrow’s adventure.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Safari to the Base of Murchison Falls
After an early breakfast, set out for a morning game drive across the park’s northern savannah. The wildlife here is plentiful—expect sightings of elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalo, hartebeests, and maybe even a leopard if you’re lucky!
Return to your lodge for lunch and a bit of downtime, then head to the Nile for a boat safari. This slow cruise takes you right to the base of the thundering Murchison Falls, with fantastic views of hippos, crocodiles, and water birds along the way.
Feeling adventurous? Hike up to the top of the falls—it’s a steep climb, but the panoramic views and the thunderous power of the falls are well worth the effort.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Enjoy one last morning drive through the park to catch any wildlife you may have missed. Then, set off on a scenic drive southward to Kibale Forest National Park—a lush rainforest famous for its primates.
Arrive in the afternoon and take a guided nature walk through Bigodi Swamp, a community-run conservation area teeming with birdlife and smaller primates like colobus monkeys and baboons. It’s a peaceful way to end the day and get in touch with nature.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today is all about chimpanzees! After breakfast, join expert rangers for a chimpanzee tracking trek deep into Kibale Forest. As you walk through the thick canopy, listen for calls echoing in the trees. Once located, spend one unforgettable hour watching these intelligent, playful primates in their natural environment.
Later, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing crater lakes and enjoying scenic views of the Rwenzori Mountains along the way. Settle into your lodge and unwind for the night.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Rise early for a game drive in Queen Elizabeth NP, where you may encounter tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffalo, and plenty of antelope species. The park is also home to hundreds of bird species, so keep your binoculars close.
After the game drive, begin your journey to the mystical Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the heartland of Uganda’s mountain gorillas. The drive winds through rural villages and terraced hills, giving you a glimpse into Ugandan life.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking Experience – A Life-Changing Encounter
Today’s the big day! After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Then, set off into the jungle with your guides in search of one of Bwindi’s habituated mountain gorilla families.
The trek can be challenging—hiking through thick vegetation and rugged terrain—but the reward is incredible. Once you find the gorillas, you’ll spend a magical hour in their presence, observing their behavior, interactions, and sheer presence. It’s a deeply moving and humbling encounter you’ll never forget.

Day 7: Return Drive to Entebbe for Departure
After a leisurely breakfast, begin your return drive to Entebbe, with stops along the way for lunch and photo ops at scenic viewpoints. Your guide will ensure you get to the airport in time for your international flight, marking the end of your incredible Ugandan adventure.
