DAY2

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before transferring to the designated park headquarters. Your ranger briefing covers gorilla trekking guidelines, forest safety and responsible wildlife viewing. You will then enter the forest with your ranger guide and begin searching for the assigned habituated gorilla family.

The trek may take a few hours or longer depending on the gorillas' location, weather and trail conditions. Bwindi's terrain can be steep, muddy and physically demanding. When the gorillas are located, visitors are generally allowed up to one hour with the family, following current Uganda Wildlife Authority rules and ranger instructions.

Observe the gorillas as they feed, rest, groom and interact with one another. After the trek, return to the lodge to relax and enjoy your evening surrounded by the forest environment.
