Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Kibale National Park

Meet your professional guide in Kampala for a warm welcome and introduction to your Uganda safari. Drive westward through scenic countryside, with views of tea plantations, crater lakes, and the towering Rwenzori Mountains. Enjoy a lunch stop in Fort Portal before arriving at your lodge near Kibale Forest.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Swamp Walk

Head to the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre after breakfast for a briefing, then set out on an exhilarating trek in search of chimpanzees. Spend an hour observing their social behaviors in the forest. After lunch at the lodge, enjoy an afternoon nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, home to monkeys, birds, and rare antelopes like the sitatunga.

Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth NP & Evening Boat Safari

Travel south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. In the evening, embark on a scenic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of birds can be seen along the shoreline.

Day 4: Morning Boat Cruise & Evening Game Drive

Start with a second cruise on the Kazinga Channel to capture morning light on the wildlife. Later, go on an evening game drive in the Kasenyi Plains to spot lions, buffalo, elephants, and perhaps a leopard. Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, drive through the rolling hills and cultivated terraces of southwestern Uganda toward Bwindi. Stop for lunch en route and arrive at your lodge set amidst the misty forest—home to half the world’s mountain gorilla population.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Experience

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your unforgettable gorilla trek. Hike through dense forest to find a gorilla family and spend an incredible hour in their presence. In the evening, engage in a cultural experience with the Batwa people—learn about their history, traditions, and crafts.

Day 7: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park

Enjoy a scenic drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Uganda’s smallest but most picturesque park. After lunch at your lodge, choose to relax or take an optional boat cruise on Lake Mutanda, with views of the Virunga Volcanoes.

Day 8: Golden Monkey Trekking

Today you’ll trek through bamboo forests in search of the rare and energetic golden monkeys. Once located, you’ll spend an hour observing and photographing them in their natural habitat. After returning to the lodge, enjoy a leisurely afternoon reflecting on your wildlife encounters.

Day 9: Return to Entebbe & Departure

After breakfast, begin the journey back to Entebbe. Stop at the Equator for photos and a picnic lunch. Your guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport in time for your flight, marking the end of your remarkable Ugandan adventure.
