Day 1: Drive to Kibale National Park – Into the Primate Paradise
After a warm welcome from your guide in Kampala, begin your scenic drive to Kibale National Park, famous for housing 13 primate species. Enjoy views of crater lakes, banana plantations, and the majestic Rwenzori Mountains. Stop for lunch in Fort Portal before checking into your forest lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Walk
Today is all about chimpanzees! Head into the forest for an unforgettable encounter with our closest relatives. In the afternoon, explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a birder’s paradise and home to rare monkeys like the grey-cheeked mangabey.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP + Evening Boat Cruise
After breakfast, set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park—Uganda’s most diverse wildlife park. In the evening, take a relaxing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and hundreds of birds gather at the shoreline.

Day 4: Morning Boat Safari & Evening Game Drive

Day 5: Scenic Transfer to Bwindi – Home of the Gentle Giants
Today, journey further southwest into the thick jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and sanctuary to half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Take in breathtaking scenery as you ascend into the forest.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking & Cultural Encounter with the Batwa
An early start takes you to the park headquarters for a briefing, then into the forest to track gorillas. Once found, you’ll spend a life-changing hour with these majestic primates. In the evening, immerse in the Batwa tribe’s traditions, learning their forest survival skills, music, and culture.

Day 7: Transfer to Mgahinga – Optional Lake Mutanda Cruise
Head to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, where “silver meets gold” – the only place where gorillas and golden monkeys share a habitat. After lunch, enjoy an optional scenic boat ride on Lake Mutanda with views of the Virunga Volcanoes.

Day 8: Golden Monkey Tracking – Elusive, Energetic & Endearing

Day 9: Return to Entebbe – Farewell Uganda
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Kampala / Entebbe. En route, stop at the Equator Line in Kayabwe for photos and local craft shopping. Drop-off at Entebbe International Airport in time for your departure flight.
